Armenia Partakes in Anti terrorism Conference in DC

YEREVAN (Yerkir)–A delegation of high-ranking officials from Armenia’s National Security Service–Police–Ministry of Foreign Affairs–and Prosecutor General’s office–led by Deputy Prosecutor General Jirair Kharatian–arrived in the US to participate in an executive conference organized by the US State Department’s Anti-terror Office. The conference will be held in Washington–DC through September 20.

Conference participants will learn about the US justice system–as well as those steps taken by the US in struggling against organized crime and weapons of mass destruction–and ensuring the country’s security.

Following the conference–the Armenian delegation will present their ideas and activities on the struggle against international terrorism–and establishing regional cooperation–to their counterparts from the FBI–other law enforcement agencies–and the State Department.
