Ukraine Armenia Detail Military Cooperation

KIEV (UNIAN)–During the first official visit to Ukraine by an Armenian Defense Ministry delegation on Wednesday–Ukrainian Defense Minister Yevhen Marchuk and Armenian counterpart Serge Sarkisian signed a military cooperation plan for 2004.

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry press service reported the document details joint consultations–maintenance of an ongoing dialogue on regional security–including "hot spots," and the exchange of military delegations. Specifically–the sides spoke of cooperation in rear services–training armed forces officers and units to partake in peacekeeping missions and other areas.

The plan outlines six projects–half of which will take place in Armenia.
