His artistic training and formation started at the age of 14–at the Art School of Montparnasse–after which he attended the School of Decorative Arts in Paris–graduating in 1938. His first important work was exhibited at the Salon des Independents. His first solo exhibition took place in 1951 in Paris. His work on canvas and paper has been shown in France–the United States–Europe–the Middle East–and Japan. There are now two museums in Japan dedicated to the artist–one in Omiya and the other in Azumino. In 2001–he donated a series of paintings dedicated to the Armenian Genocide of 1915–to the National Museum of Yerevan where an entire wing will be dedicated to his works.

Jansem is the recipient of numerous awards–honors–and prizes. In September of this year–he received the medal of the Legion d’Honneur–one of the most coveted and highest honor bestowed on those who have contributed to the advancement of France in diverse fields–whether military–scientific–cultural–or artistic.

The exhibit is presented by SB Fine Arts which serves as a consultant to private clients in a broad range of art collecting activities to provide access to both information and art.
