Pope Awards Armenian Ambassador to France and Vatican

YEREVAN (YERKIR)– Pope John Paul II awarded Armenia’s Ambassador to France and Vatican Edward Nalbandian–the highest medal of Vatican–the Great Cross of St. Gregory.

Vatican State Secretary Cardinal Angelo Sodano–conveyed that the Pope awarded the ambassador in order to "honor the country he represents–and as a sign of respect to the ambassador."
