ANCA Annual Banquet Honors US and Foreign Leaders for Commitment

LOS ANGELES–The Annual Banquet of the Armenian National Committee of America-Western Region will be held this Sunday–November 9–at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City.

The Annual Banquet is held in honor of those individuals who have made outstanding contributions to America and the Armenian-American community. This year’s honorees include Congressman George Radanovich (R-CA)–Congressman Adam B. Schiff (D-CA)–US District Court Judge Dickran Tevrizian–California State Treasurer Phil Angelides–and Former United Nations Human Rights Official Dr. Alfred De Zayas.

The event will also feature special video tributes from Pulitzer Prize winning author Samantha Power and a video tribute to BBC correspondent James Miller.

Attorney Mark Geragos will serve as the evening’s Master of Ceremonies.

Other public officials include Members of US Congress Juanita Millender-Mcdonald–Lucille Roybal-Allard–and Brad Sherman; California State Senators Joe Dunn–Charles Poochigian–and Jack Scott; California State Assemblymembers Ronald Calderon–Judy Chu–Dario Frommer–Jackie Goldberg–Paul Koretz–Carol Liu–Gloria Negrete Mcleod–and Leeland Yee; LA City Council Members Wendy Greul–Greig Smith–Antonion Villairagossa–Dennis Zine–and Tony Cardenas; LA County Board of Supervisors Member Michael Antonovich–; Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Greg Keosian; LA County Sheriff Lee Baca; Glendale Mayor Frank Quinterro; La Canada Mayor Steve Del Guercio; La Canada Councilman Anthony Portatino.

Public Officials will be available for interviews during the cocktail reception.
