Armenia Allocates $7 Million Dram for Javakhk School

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The government of Armenia has allocated $7 Million Dram for the renovation of an Armenian middle school in the Apoul village of Akhalkalak. Renovation and reconstruction work will begin next month on the building that was built in the 1950s–and has not undergone any repair since sustaining heavy damage during the May 1986 earthquake there.

Three additional Javakhk schools were renovated last year–including an art school in Akhalkalak. Two additional Armenian schools–located in villages–are presently undergoing renovation.
