Candidate: Paul Krekorian
GLENDALE–The Armenian National Committee 43rd District Task Force held its first meeting with candidate Paul Krekorian on November 30 at the Armenian National Committee-Western Region (ANC-WR) offices to discuss his candidacy in the 2006 State Assembly elections.
As one of the first steps in completing this assessment–the 43rd District Task Force began its assessment of candidates by identifying those individuals who have shown a genuine interest in the position. The first interview was held with Paul Krekorian–Burbank School Board President and attorney. Task Force members shared their concerns and issues with the candidate. Krekorian–in turn–shared his vision of the potential of his seat in the State Assembly and the implications it would have for the betterment of the Armenian American community.
ANC-WR recently established the 43rd District Task Force in order to identify the most suitable candidate to represent the interests of the 43rd Assembly District (43rd AD). 43rd AD consists of all or portions of Glendale–Burbank–Crescenta Valley–North Hollywood–and Hollywood. The task force includes representatives from each of these cities who will continue to conduct an assessment of other candidates for an opportunity to discuss their aspirations and the issues facing the Armenian American community in the 43rd district.
