YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The Armenian Parliament Wednesday passed an amendment to Armenia’s Criminal Code, according to which denying, minimizing or advocating Genocide and other crimes that might hinder peace and individual security would be deemed a criminal act and punishable by a fine of 100 to 300 percent of the individual’s income or a four-year prison sentence. The amendment also places the same provisions on materials distributed or disseminated via the internet.
