GLENDALE–The Armenian Revolutionary Federation Central Committee of Western US announced the appointment of long-time community activist and art director Harry Vorperian as the General Manager of Horizon Armenian Television. Vorperian has an extensive background in the visual arts and broadcasting, having been one of the founding members of Horizon TV in 1989. He has served as art director at several advertising agencies and has owned and operated a graphic design and visual arts studio since the mid-1980’s. He was owned and managed an art gallery from 1987 to 1990 and has served as guest director in various other art galleries. He received his bachelor of fine arts from California State University in Northridge after he graduated from the Holy Martyrs Ferrahian Armenian School. "As a founding member of Horizon Television, it is a privilege to have the opportunity to bring my experience to this growing network," said Vorperian. "My goal is to expand and enhance the programming and provide quality entertainment, news and information to the community," added Vorperian. Horizon Armenian Television can be seen nationwide 24 hours a day via satellite and on Charter Cable’s Channel 55 in Glendale, Burbank and La Crescenta.
