AEF Awards ‘Mego’ Fidanian Scholarships

GLENDALE–In 2006 The Armenian Educational Foundation announced the formation of the Mgrdich (Mego) Hovsepi Fidanian Scholarship Endowment Fund. This endowment was established by Hovsep and Hilda Fidanian in memory of their son, Mego who was taken from his loving family on October 13, 2005 as a result of a tragic motorcycle accident. The endowment totaling $67,250 was funded by contributions from family and friends. The Fidanians requested AEF to allocate the income from the endowment for scholarships to students attending State Engineering University of Armenia (Polytechnic). They are well aware of the challenges facing many of our youth in Armenia who have the academic ability yet due to financial hardships can not attend universities. This generous bequest has made a world of difference for 10 students and their families this year and will continue to do so for years to come.
