Azerbaijan to Rank Armenia as Enemy State in Military Doctrine

BAKU (Combined Sources)–The new Azeri military doctrine that will go before the country’s parliament will rank Armenia as “major enemy,” said a member of the Azeri parliamentary commission for defense and national security, Zakhid Orudzh.
He said the doctrine will be adopted in the fall session of Milli Mejlis (parliament).
“The military aggression of Armenia will be mentioned as one of the major threats to our military security, and that country will be mentioned as an enemy state,” announced Orudzh.
“Military doctrines of many states attach special attention to such issues as threats to security, definite factors of pressure, flash points of conflicts, rapid armament of neighbor states, dissemination of weapons of mass destruction, military crimes, and sale of armamen’s. I think Azerbaijan must use this experience because our lands are really under occupation,” explained the Azeri parliament member.
