Baku Not Considering Leasing Gabala Radar to US

BAKU (Armenpress)–The Azeri authorities were not considering the possibility of leasing the Gabala radar station to the U.S. at the present time, Azeri Foreign Ministry spokesman Khazar Ibrahim told Russian Interfax.
"Azerbaijan is not considering the possibility of leasing the Gabala radar station out to the U.S., as the lease agreement concluded with Russia for the period up to 2012 has not yet expired," Ibrahim said.
Azerbaijan, Russia, and the U.S. are in the process of determining the dates and venue of tripartite consultations on the joint operation of this radar by Russia and the US, he said.
