Armenia, Greece Issue Joint Postal Stamps

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The Greek Embassy in Armenia and HayPost (Armenian Post) held a special ceremony Friday at the Greek Embassy in Yerevan to mark the simultaneous issuing of joint Armenian-Greek stamps in Yerevan and in Athens.
The event was part of HayPost’s objectives of strengthening collaboration between Armenia and Greece and fulfilling the decision of the Hellenic-Armenian Joint Intergovernmental Commission.
The ceremony was hosted by Greek Charg? d’Affaires Alekos Ikonomopoulos in collaboration with Hans Boon, Director General of HayPost.
This joint issue represents the famous statues of Goddesses Aphrodite and Anahit–the goddess of love in the mythology of both nations.
"We are very proud and excited that HayPost has played a primary role in substantiating the friendship between these two ancient nations," Boon said.
Ikonomopoulos expressed his satisfaction for the exceptional bilateral relations between the two countries, and praised the contribution of Hellenic Post and HayPost for underlying the historic ties between the two nations.
The Armenian stamp’s cost in Armenia is 350 drams and the Greek one will cost 70 drams. In Greece their prices will be 2.4 and 0.5 euros respectively.
