Western Prelacy Celebrates Christmas

The Western Prelacy of the Armenian Church celebrated Divine Liturgy Saturday and Sunday evening on the Feast of the Nativity and Theophany.
Prelate Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian Sunday celebrated Liturgy and delivered a sermon at St. Mary’s Church in Glendale, where he also conducted the blessing of the water ceremony. The Honorable Armen Liloyan, Consul General of the Republic of Armenia, was in attendance along with representatives of community organizations.
The Prelate’s traditional Christmas Dinner took place Sunday evening at “Bagramian” Hall in Montebello with the participation of nearly 650 guests, among them the Consul Generals of Armenia and Lebanon, Prelacy committees’ members, representatives of community organizations, and sponsors. Following the taped remarks of H.H. Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, remarks were offered throughout the evening which concluded with the Prelate’s blessings and Christmas message.
