Karabakh Liberation Movement 20th Anniversary to be Marked
GLENDALE–The Armenian Revolutionary Federation Western US will be commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Artsakh Liberation Movement with a series of events to begin in early April. A coordinating committee for the commemoration events has been established under the auspices of the ARF Central Committee of Western US, the ARF Glendale Aharonian, ARF Burbank Aghbalian, and ARF Crescenta Valley Zavarian Chapters.
The slogan of the commemoration will be "Artsakh is Armenia." The goal of the events will be to promote solidarity with the people of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and their right to self-determination, it added.
The commemorative events are open to the public and an invitation is also being sent to the local area schools and organizations to attend.
The commemorative events will include an essay and art contest for students, a Shushi movie night, a photo/art exhibit, a literary evening, and a conference seminar, the press office said.
The grand celebration is scheduled at the Wilshire Ebell Theater on Friday May 2. For more information check the website at: www.artsakhisarmenia.com or email: info@artsakhisarmenia.com.
