YEREVAN (Armenpress)-Armenia’s tourist industry is recovering from a setback it suffered in the aftermath of the March 1-2 unrest in Yerevan, when the number of foreigners wishing to visit Armenia declined drastically, head of the Armenian Economy Ministry’s Tourism Department Mekhak Apresian told Armenpress.
Apresian cited "approximate" calculations and data from travel agencies to ground his statement.
He said foreigners are again visiting Armenia, which according to him is due to signs of stability.
Apresian also said that advertisement videos depicting Armenia as a winter tourism destination have been sent to CNN and EuroNews TV channels and will begin broadcast beginning from next week.
