GLENDALE–The Homenetmen Glendale Ararat Chapter is hosting its seventh annual tennis tournament at Glorieta Park in Glendale. The tennis tournament started last weekend and will go through Sunday, May 4. This year’s tennis tournament will feature close to 200 local tennis players. Individual and doubles will compete in 19 different categories. Tournament games start at 8 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
Ararat’s tennis tournament is currently the largest multi-ethnic community tennis tournament in Glendale. This tournament is organized entirely by volunteers from Ararat to help bring our communities’ younger generation together from different backgrounds to create new friendships to contend in a friendly atmosphere. The closing ceremonies this year will be on Friday, May 23rd at the Ararat Center, 3347 San Fernando Blvd., at 6:00 p.m. Distinguished guests will close this year’s tournament by honoring and recognizing the athletes, participants and volunteers. All tournament results are posted at www.Ararat.org.
