BAKU (ArmRadio)–Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov Monday confirmed that a meeting between the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan to discuss the Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict Settlement process is in the works.
"We decided that the negotiations should continue," Mammadyarov said, referring to last weeks meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian in Strasbourg where the two discussed the possibility of restarting discussions between the two countries.
"It is very important for Azerbaijan to meet with the new government of Armenia," he explained. "A meeting between the two presidents will most likely take place in June."
During their discussions last Tuesday, Mammadyarov reaffirmed official Baku’s position that Azerbaijan will agree to a settlement proposal only if it is within the framework of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity.
