YEREVAN (Combined Sources)–Through the intervention of four members of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation parliamentary bloc, Armenia’s appellate court Monday changed the charges filed against chairman of Armenia’s Artists’ Union, who was arrested in connection with the March 1 post-election unrest.
Tigran Baghdasarian, who was being held on 500,000 dram bail, received a suspended sentence following the ARF bloc mediation.
The same four members have also applied to Armenia’s Court of Appeals for a similar consideration for the Arshak Banouchian, the Deputy Director of the Madenataran.
