Fundukian Appointed Assistant Superintendent in Glendale

GLENDALE–Katherine Fundukian was named Assistant Superintendent of educational services at Glendale Unified School District Monday by the Glendale Board of Education.

Fundukian, who has 23 years of experience in education, will replace Alice Petrossian, who is leaving the district to be the chief academic officer in the Pasadena Unified School District.

“I am so proud and very happy for her,” Petrossian told the Glendale News Press.

Fundukian had been principal of Glendale High School since 2005, and before that she had been assistant principal at Diamond Bar High School since 1998.

“I am certainly committed to seeing students achieve, and that is my highest priority, and that is why I am in this business,” Fundukian told the Glendale News Press.
