BAKU (Armenpress)–A conference on Armenian-Turkish relations will be held in Baku to explore the prospects and consequences of normal relations between the two countries, a member of Azerbaijan’s parliament told reporters on Tuesday.
Fazail Aghamali, the head of the Motherland Party, said the conference, scheduled for the end of January, is the joint initiative of 5 political parties, which met earlier this month to discuss the matter.
“Heads of Azerbaijani 5 political parties discussed the Armenian-Turkish relations and a decision has been made to hold a conference on that issue in Baku," he said.
Aghamanli invited members of the Turkish parliament to take part in the conference, but neglecting to extend the invitation to his counterparts in Armenia.
“We wish that Azerbaijani and Turkish MPs discuss the situation developing in Armenian and Turkish relations," he said.
