OSCE Chairperson to Meet Clinton for Caucasus Talks

ATHENS (Armenpress)–US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will meet on February 25 with Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis, the current the chairperson-in-office of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, for talks on the South Caucasus, Greek Foreign Ministry Spokesman Yorgos Kumutsakos told reporters at a press conference in Athens on Tuesday.

“Topics of mutual interest will be discussed during the meetings of the Ministers in the United States including international and regional issues such as the Middle East and Caucasus as well as a number of themes which are primary for Greece such as the situation on the Balkans, relations with Turkey and the Cyprian issue,” Kumutsakos said.

Bakoyanis has stated that her chairmanship’s priorities include the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the overall normalization of the situation in the South Caucasus that emerged after the brief but devastating war between Russia and Georgia over South Ossetia.
