Distant Lands Bookstore Brings Armenia, Karabakh to Pasadena

PASADENA, CA–Armenia and Karabakh will be the featured destinations at Distant Lands Travel Bookstore in Pasadena, Calif., during a special presentation by author-photographers Matthew Karanian and Robert Kurkjian.

The presentation, at 7:30 pm on Monday, May 18, is part of the travel bookstore’s series that showcases remote and exciting destinations. Karanian and Kurkjian are the author-photographers of “The Stone Garden Guide: Armenia and Karabagh.”

The authors will discuss their creation of Armenia’s first commercial travel guide and will present a photographic slide show featuring images from Armenia’s historic and cultural sites, and its natural environment.

The guidebook “Armenia and Karabagh” is the winner of three national book awards and is one of the top-selling books in the US about Armenia. It contains 135 color photographs and 27 color maps. Sample pages can be viewed online at www.ArmeniaTravelGuide.com.
