Gordon Reiterates Washington’s Backing for Quick Karabakh Settlement

phillipgordongWASHINGTON (News.az)—The United States is committed to ensuring a quick resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs said on Tuesday.

“The United States hopes for quick progress in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement,” Phillip Gordon was quoted by the Azeri news.az website as saying after discussing the implications of the Lisbon Treaty on US-EU relations at the Subcommittee on Europe in the US House Foreign Affairs Committee.

“We are actively engaged on Nagorno-Karabakh issue and we are actively engaged in the OSCE Minsk Group. We think this is mutually important and I do hope that we can make progress very soon on it. It is important to us,” he said.

“There are some basic understandings of the basic principles that would be necessary to resolve this conflict, and I believe all of the parties would benefit if there were a resolution of the conflict,” he said

Gordon stressed that the United States stands ready to help in any way it can, adding that US cooperation with Europe will focus on, among other things, the South Caucasus, Middle East, Iran’s nuclear program and other regional issues.

Today’s armenians of Artakh did not take over Artsakh. They are living on their historical lands. Today’s albanians of Kosovo, however, took over Kosovo (with the blessing and active help of the US and Europe) They are not living on albanian soil, but rather on land that is holy to Serbia. The bottom line is that Armenians can never again – ever – be placed under the soverignity of Turks. Azeris are Turks.
Artsakh, including Stepanakhert & Shushi, can never be ruled by Azerbaijan. The outlying areas may be returned – but with a clause: If Arzerbaijan ever attacks Artsakh with artillery the way they did by bombing Stepanakhert through mortar shelling from Aghdam. Then Azerbaijan forfeits the currently occupied lands completely. Got it Phil? Barak? and your puppet masters, the State Department and that grey eminence also refered to as the NSA..

Washington’s Backing should be for  Quick resolution on Karabakh independence  and thus they will achieve along lasting  peace in the region otherwise  US would be backing another Genocide or ethnic cleansing  of Armenians  from their homeland .
