BAKU (Today.az)—Turkey’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Wednesday said his country’s parliament would not ratify US-backed fence-mending agreements signed with Armenia in October until Azeri “lands are liberated from Armenian occupation,” reported the Azeri Today.az website.
Speaking to reporters, Ambassador Hulusi Kilic said Turkey was waiting for Armenia to agree to a settlement of the conflict that would strip the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic of its independence and transfer its territories to Azerbaijani control.
“The Turkish Prime Minister put the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on agenda of his meeting with the U.S. president and said the protocols signed with Armenia wouldn’t be approved if there was no progress toward liberating these occupied lands,” Kilic said.
“There is a need to solve this problem because Karabakh is very important issue,” he added.
Western Armenia’s land transfer and recognition of Armenian Genocide is more important to denyalist AKP leaders, than Axerbaijani empty and fake land demands!
