Turkish, Azeri Foreign Ministers To Meet in London

BAKU (News.am)—The foreign ministers of Turkey and Azerbaijan will be in London on Thursday attending a one-day international conference designed to boost the flagging US-led war effort in Afghanistan. The two diplomats are scheduled to meet on the sidelines of the meeting to discuss regional issues and bilateral cooperation, Turkish and Azeri media reported Wednesday.

In a televised interview with the Russian NTV channel on Tuesday, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said he intended to meet with his Azeri counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov in London for talks on the Karabakh peace process and the Armenia-Turkey rapprochement.

Davutoglu also underscored his intentions to meet with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on those issues.
