Kurdish Girl Gets 8 Years In Prison In Turkey

ANKARA (Press TV)–A Turkish high criminal court has sentenced an adolescent Kurdish girl to nearly eight years in prison on charges of hurling stones at police officers and chanting illegal slogans during a protest in the southeastern city of Batman.

Police claimed that the 15-year-old Kurdish teenager, Berivan attended an illegal march in October and concealed her face behind a scarf. Berivan rejected the accusation saying that she was detained while going to visit her aunt, Hurriyet newspaper reported on Wednesday.

“I did not hurl stones at police officers. I do not have any relation with the march. I noticed a crowd and walked towards it to see what it was. Police surrounded the crowd before I reached them. A policeman detained me because he thought I was a protester but I was not. I was just going to visit my aunt living in the central part of the city,” Berivan said.

The court had originally sentenced her to a total of 13 years in prison – seven years on charges of committing a crime on behalf of an outlawed organization, five years on charges of attending an illegal demonstration, and one year on charges of propaganda for the group.

However, her sentence was commuted to seven years and nine months because she is an adolescent.

After the judge announced the sentence, the girl’s mother burst into tears and shouted, “Did she murder? The murderers are not sentenced to such a long prison term.”

    Let President Obama imagine
If that Kurdish girl was her
    Daughter Sasha or Malia
    or her daughter’s friend.

    Let American black race
    Stop speaking about slavery days!
They haven’t met yet ottoman’s genes
Who know how to lie, deny and slay!

Pretending they know justice how to be.
    Used only on innocents,
    Murdering race after race
Whom they think has no Turkish blood like thems.

And force on them, their heartless Turkishness.
Isn’t  Berivan a Sunni Muslim, Like thems???
Isn’t she young innocent probably like judge’s
Or juries daughter who sentenced Berivan to imprisonment?

From Berivan’s Eyes you can tell
How kind and innocent she is
    No need to mere photos
    Any kind person can praise.
I know ‘Kurdish Girls’ very well
They were my friends in Kirkuk, (North Iraq)
Where my parents settled after genocide,
They were our Neighbors and Friends.
I remember one of them her name was Berween (Berivan?):
    Others Narmeen, Nasreen. Shereen, Sharmeen
We were very close childhood friends
    Playing helping each other always
Never been jealous, never knew nuisance.
They were closer to me than my relatives and Armenian friends.
Let this ‘Soulful Poem’ reach the President
Let it written in the history
Let every one study Ottomans dark blood
Still breeding the same genes as their ancestries.
If their judges are not human
    What else can you expect!
What about juries were they bribed as well.
They are best teachers for bribes
As Arabs rehearse about them… always.
All Judges need to be punished
    Through international courts.
    Other wise this unhumanitarian attitudes
Will continue like others, from our genocide days.
And none will prevent them as they think
They can always slay and pursue their mistakes.

Berivan is a hero to our people.
A small stone, thrown by a small 13 year old girl, who weighs a mere 76 lbs, scared and shook the turkish government.
They hurl bombs weighing between 500-1,000 lbs, and are scared by a stone wheighing a mere 100 grams.
Our people need millions of Berivans.
Where are the Western Human Rights peddlers? Suddenly they all disappeared from the scene.
When the world does not condemn the TURKS for committing the Genocide, this is what happens, they throw a small, skiny and weak young Kurdish girl in jail.
    M U R D E R E R S…all turks are M U R D E R E R S

Poor girl. Anyone see midnight express? The horror this 15 year old girl will experience for “possibly” throwing stones and “chanting illegal slogan” on a mongol police officer. “Illegal slogans” and the truth are one and the same in Turkey. After all, Turkey is a country founded upon the murder, theft and occupation of others so fantasy must be upheld by their laws.

The treatment of this poor child should be a wakeup call for Mr. Obama and Hilary Clinton. These two deniers of the Armenian Genocide have daughters of their own. They should spare a thought for this young girl and the thousands upon thousands of Armenian women and children slaughtered by the Turks in the 1800’s and 1919 – 1923.  Mr Obama and Mrs Clinton should start learning their History lessons all over again.

Hye, Berivan, the 15 year old Kurdish girl, a child, jailed in Turkey in the Ottoman mentality.
Picture her in a Midnight Express movie scene – the vile and evil that shall surround her every
living moment… a Turkey is still of the hordes from the Asian mountains – still unable to join
the civilized nations of the world…
Berivan, the world grieves for your life in this Turkish jail – the world shall have to shame the Turks for this obscene placement of the child, a 15 year old girl child, and a Kurd, in  of all places, a Turkish jail.
What caliber of men judged to place her in that Turkish jail.  So, Genocides by the Turks
continue – in many and varied ways – still today, against the Kurds…

    Dear All,
This and similar severe mistakes are very unfortunately is happening in our world. It does deeply hurt to see children being used by adults in politics, children labor in industry, sexual and other forms of exploitation, trafficking etc.ILO focuses and UNICEF have dozens of projects on children related issues. Violation of fundamental rights is a big problem of our world.Trafficking in children is a BIG global problem and affecting nearly 1.2 million children yearly. There is a very big demand for cheap labour or for sexual exploitation. Most of the families are not even aware of those problems. they think that other countries have better chances for their children. So many children are not growing in family because of criminal activities. Corruptions. There are so many hidden children. after all they are children facing danger, involved with violence and sexual abuse. family environment. In addition, children who have been trafficked face a range of dangers, including violence and sexual abuse.

In Guatemala, 2000 babies trafficked yearly, for adoption by European couples. Eastern Europe mail-order brides, 13 yrs, trafficking problem again, mainly from Asia.

Children from Togo, Mali, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Gabon, Benin,Nigeria to Europe for sexual exploitation, pornography, sex tourism etc.

30 to 35 per cent of all sex workers in the Mekong sub-region of Southeast Asia are between 12 and 17 years of age.
Mexico’s social service agency reports that there are more than 16,000 children engaged in prostitution, with tourist destinations being among those areas with the highest number.

In Lithuania, 20 to 50 percent of prostitutes are believed to be minors. Children as young as age 11 are known to work as prostitutes. Children from children’s homes, some 10 to 12 years old, have been used to make pornographic movies.

…. all are from UNICEF records. and there are many more worse news. What shall we do? fight with each other or fight with those problems?

So , please instead of attacking a nations, we should attack to problems. If we want peace of course, if not than hard to solve problems. We do not need more fights but peace. co-operation, help, hand and hand..

with a real friendly feelings and love from Turkey..
