Pilibos Students Don on Red to Show Support for Haiti Relief

On February 2, those Rose and Alex Plilibos Armenian School students who had contributed to the Haiti Relief fund earned the right to wear red shirts, instead of their uniforms. The students raised $1,778 and 12th graders Arpa Hatsbanian and Juliana Khanjian brought their school check to the ARS headquarters, as the Regional Executive board members were assembled for their weekly meeting.

Sona Madarian, a board member and a teacher at the school, was happy to introduce her energetic students to her fellow board members. Sossie Poladian, Chairperson of the Regional Executive, accepted the check from the students, who were very proud that they did their part to help the victims of the recent earthquake in Haiti.

The ARS of Western USA continues to accept tax-deductable donations for the Haiti Relief Fund. The on-line credit card contributions default donations to Haiti Relief Fund at www.arswestusa.org/donate. Checks, with notes for Haiti Relief, can be mailed to ARS of Western USA, 517 W. Glenoaks Blvd., Glendale, CA  91202 2812.
