Armenians Protest Turkish Meeting in Beirut

BEIRUT (Aztag)—Lebanese-Armenians protested Turkey’s participation in an economic conference taking place Monday in the capital Beirut.

More than 500 protesters gathered outside the building where the Turkish-Lebanese Economic Conference was being held. The protested carried banners reading “Trade is Expensive, Justice is Priceless,” and hurled eggs at the vehicles carrying the Turkish conference participants.

Beirut police were on hand to ensure the safety of both sides.
