TEHRAN (Combined Sources)–Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad hailed over the weekend the “friendly and warm ties between Iran and Armenia” as he met with Armenia’s Education and Science Minister in the capital Tehran.
Ahmedinejad met with Minister Armen Ashotian to discuss cooperation in education and science between the neighboring countries. During their talks, the Iranian leader said the partnership would help further expand bilateral relations and allow Iran to share technology and experience with Armenia.
“Relations and bonds among Iran, Armenia and other countries of the region cannot be untied,” Ahmedinejad said. “”Iran is ready to provide other nations, including Armenia, with its experiences in different sciences.”
Ashotian, for his part, described Iranian-Armenian relations in science and education as “very good and progressive,” and added that “cooperation between Iran and Armenia can serve the interests of different societies and help promote the quality of life in both countries.”
