Another Armenian Soldier Killed After Azeri Attack

STEPANAKERT (Combined Sources)–One Armenian soldier was shot dead on Friday in continuing skirmishes along the main line of contact separating Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan, RFE/RL’s Armenia Service reported.

The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic’s Defense Ministry issued a statement Friday saying the slain soldier was Andranik Sargsyan, a 20-year old conscript, who was fatally wounded in the northeastern section of the frontline in a ceasefire violation by Azeri forces, ArmRadio reported.

Karabakh’s northern Martakert region saw deadly fighting earlier this month, when at least four Azerbaijani soldiers were killed there after failing to overtake Karabakh defense outposts along the line of contact. The same section of the frontline was also the scene of another serious skirmish in early June, when Azeri forces launched an attack killing four Karabakh soldiers.

The cease-fire violations were strongly condemned by the US, Russian, and French diplomats mediating a resolution to the Karabakh conflict.

According to the Itar-Tass news agency, the recent wave of violations were discussed by U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates and visiting Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov during talks in the Pentagon on Wednesday. A Pentagon spokesman was quoted by Itar-Tass as saying that Gates expressed concern and stressed the need to strengthen the ceasefire regime and prevent more violence.

Ahmet, actually the Azeri cowards have murdered many Armenians over the years on the border, but many more of them have received the return lesson. It seems like Azeris are itching for another lesson in humiliation, stick around if this continues you might witness how well the Tatars of the so-called Azerbaijan will learn their lessons…again.

This time some Italians will back up the Armenian brothers: we won’t leave our Armenian ancestors alone in front of the Azeri-Turk-muslim brutality!
They’ve took too much over the centuries! Italy is with Armenia, Italians are with Armenia, and Turkey is not Europe and will never be!

Ahmet, apparently you read Armenian papers much more than you read Turkish papers, allways here on this sight giving you 2 cents worth. Are Turkish papers less challenging and informative?Or do they hide information like the circumstances of Hrant Dink’s murder?

Like any illiterate idiot, you and your people are welcome to thrash talk and make use of your testosterone. However, I know for a fact that when, not if, we get mad and start to attack Azerbaijan and take over more villages and send more Azeris down towards Iran, you and your same people will be calling foul and looking at the international community to stop the violence. That’s what happened in 1994.

That is precisely why Turks are the vermin of this earth. They attack unprovoked, but when a bitter response is delivered, they ask for peace. In a like manner, although you have said, “One down and counting,” you are going to describe my statement as “racist.” Do you realize your statement is not going to hold any weight.

If you are an accountant and “counting,” then also count the Azeri losses that have and will happen. Be prepared to tabulate large numbers.
