Western Prelate Discusses Community Issues with Assemblymember Gatto

LA CRESCENTA, CA–Assemblymember Mike Gatto has met with Western Prelate Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian at the Western Prelacy Headquarters for talks on the social and economic issues facing the people of California, including the Armenian population.

Gatto represents, California’s 43rd Assembly District encompassing Burbank, Glendale and a number of suburbs of Los Angeles. His district encompasses the largest concentration of Armenians in Southern California.

Accompanying the Assemblymember was staffer Christine Aghakhanian. Also present at the meeting was Prelacy Executive Council member Levon Kirakosian joined the meeting as well.

Assemblyman Gatto briefed the Prelate on the work he’s carried out since being elected in June and discussed future projects and initiatives.

The Prelate, for his part, wished that relations and collaboration between the 43rd Assembly office and the Armenian community remain strong and develop further.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Prelate presented the Gatto with a religious memento.
