Turks See ‘Reset Lobby Dynamic’ After Midterm Elections

An article published in the Hurriyet Daily News Thursday claims that a Republican Congress has brought a new “Lobby Dynamic” for Turkey. The article, by Umit Enginsoy, claims that diplomats and analysts alike see the change in Congress as “a mixed blessing for the future of the U.S.-Turkish relationship.” It goes on to speculate that in the coming months Congress may overcome the previous opposition to the appointment of Frank Ricciardone to the post of US Ambassador to Turkey and may even introduce the Armenian Genocide resolution into the House of Representatives for a full vote. Read the complete story here.
