LA CRESCENTA—Women around the world observed “Women’s World Day of Prayer” on Friday. The California community also participated in this global movement, organizing an event to bring together the faithful women for prayer, fellowship, and praise.
This year’s prayer service was held at St. Gregory Armenian Catholic Church in Glendale with the theme, “How many loaves have you?”
Western Prelate Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian attended and offered his blessings and the benediction. He was accompanied by Rev. Father Vazken Atmajian.
Western Primate, Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, St. Gregory Church Rector, Very Rev. Father. Krikor Shahinian, Assistant Rector, Very Rev. Father Armenag Bedrossian, and Rev. Joe Matossian, Minister of the Armenian Evangelical Union of N. America, participated in the prayer service.

Perhaps when the rights of women are equal, their prayers for themselves and others may be answered.
Remember, women do two thirds of the work in the global economy, yet only receive 10% of the reward whilst at the same time they only own 1% of the world’s assets.
