Erdogan’s AKP to Lead 4-Party Turkish Parliament

ISTANBUL (Hurriyet Daily News)—Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erodgan’s Justice and Development Party, or AKP, will form a majority government after winning more than 50 percent of the popular vote; the incumbents will be joined again by the opposition Republican People’s Party, or CHP, the Nationalist Movement Party, or MHP, and the Peace and Democracy Parliament, or BDP, in the legislature.

A party must have at least 20 parliament members in order to form a parliamentary group.

“We will embrace everyone, whether they voted for the AKP or not,” Erdoğan said in a speech at his party’s headquarters late Sunday.

“The people have won,” Erdoğan said, adding that unlawfulness and the rule of the “privileged ones” lost once more. “A Turkey with gangs has become a thing of the past with the decision of the Turkish people.”

The AKP does not distinguish between members of the public and will continue this trait, Erdoğan said. “The lifestyles, faiths and values of 74 million people are entrusted to us.”

Freedoms will broaden, the prime minister said, adding that everyone will be able to express themselves even better. “Our responsibility has grown,” he said.

Indeed, you have the “freedom” to express yourself all of you Turkeys, except when you “insult Turkishness”, then its off to the proverbial gulags for you, worse yet, you’ll end up like Hrant Dink!

After 800 hundred years, the sons and daughters of Ghengis Khan’s concubines are still primitive primates, except now they have names like Erdogan and wear suits and ties. . . . . .
