PARIS—A resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide was adopted by the 18th annual session of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy, a 28-member group representing nations where the orthodox religion is practiced.

The resolution passed by the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy said: “We call on the international community to condemn the genocide the Ottoman Empire perpetrated against Armenians, Greeks and Assyrians.” It also calls on Turley to acknowledge and accept its responsibility for the sake of restoration of historical justice.

The measure was introduced by the delegation from Armenia, which included members of the Armenian parliament, Mkrtich Minasyan and Ruzan Khachatryan, who recently returned from Paris.

After a one-hour debate, the resolution was adopted unanimously.

The 28 states represented in the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy include Armenia, Kazakhstan, Albania, Syria, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia.

The interparliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy could easily be the foundation for creating an Orthodox Union. The Orthodox Union would be a powerful religious and political organization that could unite Orthodox countries because it is clear that the West has purposely been targeting Orthodox countries . The Turkish invasion of Cyprus , Western support for the Chechan terrorist attacks against Russia, the purposeful targeting of Serbia(eventhough the Croats and Bosnian were equally guilty of war crimes) ,and the purposely engineered financial crisis in Greece are all a part of a Western strategy to weaken Orthodox nations. It is time that Orthodox countries unite. Samuel Huntington, the political scientist even warned of the great power of the Orthodox Union and how this could challange Western interests.

I believe “Saudi Arabia” is included in error – they cannot/would not participate in a Christian organisation!
