WASHINGTON (Itar-Tass)—President Barack Obama and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution efforts, among other issues, during a meeting Wednesday.
Obama expressed gratitude to the Russian foreign minister for his efforts toward the resolution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict and “underscored the U.S. commitment to achieve a framework agreement,” the statement said.
Lavrov and Obama discussed the situation in Sudan and in South Sudan, the nuclear problem of Iran, the role of the international community in preventing new violence in Syria and Yemen, and next steps on Middle East Peace in the wake of the Quartet meetings earlier in the week.
As for bilateral relations, Obama and Lavrov discussed possibilities for cooperation on missile defense in Europe, Russia’s WTO entry, democracy and human rights in Russia.
The U.S. president “reaffirmed his strong support for Russia’s efforts to complete its WTO accession process this year, and discussed the necessity of granting Russia Permanent Normalized Trade Relations,” the statement emphasized.

So, the leaderships of some nations of the world meet… amongst decisions – to decide what to do with the fledgling nation of 20 years – the Armenians – still being abused by the Turkeys.
I shall have started with re-assessing the membership of NATO… to include only the civilized nations that reside in the North Atlantic ocean region – composed of like-minded (?) civilized nations… ONLY, in order to be able to advance – without oppositions from any nation whose membership is a detriment.
impressive shoe size Mr. President, lol
BULLSHIT, south sudan gets recognized JUST LIKE THAT! but after all these years, a genocide and with threats of more genocide WE STILL DONT HAVE RECOGNITION?
do these armenians even know how to negotiate?!
NO ARMENIAN GENOCIDE RESOLUTION, THEN RECOGNIZE KARAPAGH, WE SHOULDNT EXPECT ANYTHING LESS!
Talks to no avail – nothing of it will come to pass.
I dont think Lavrow is the Selfdeceiver in comparison of the two though.
Arn.Sweden.
If Armenia were tor recognize Artzack, there will be fifteen minutes of hollering and everything would die down after that. Only Azerbaijian would be complaining; like the distant barking of a night time dog. Armenia is waiting for a better opportunity. I hope.
