Highland, Calif. Mayor Visits Armenia


The mayor of Highland, Calif., Larry McCallon, traveled to Armenia and on Wednesday met with the parliamentary bloc of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, among other meetings he held in Yerevan. The Highland City Council in April adopted a resolution commemorating the Armenian Genocide.

    This is remarkable because there are very few Armenians in the Highland which is in San Bernardino County. As an Armenian, I visited Highland. It is also important to note that the President of California State University-San Bernardino (Dr.Albert Karnig) is Armenian.Highland and Redlands are the two nicest parts of San Bernardino County and to be honest, it is nicer than any place in LA or Orange county because you don’t have the horrible traffic and angry drivers.

    Amazing- an American Politician that is educated on historical facts. Good for Mayor Larry McCallon, Genocide IS still going on today and must be stopped.
