Karabakh Denounces Azeri Disinformation

An Azeri sniper at the Karabakh-Azerbaijan border

STEPANAKERT—The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Ministry of Defense on Monday blasted Baku for disseminating false information regarding deaths of Armenian soldiers on the Karabakh-Azerbaijan border, saying the disinformation campaign was unsuccessful.

Azeri press reports on Monday, quoting unknown sources, claimed that Azeri forces had killed eight soldiers of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Defense Army. Karabakh Defense Ministry spokesperson, Senor Asatryan said that Azerbaijan was not only confused about the realities on the battlefield, but also in its propaganda efforts.

”They could have at least changed the number, otherwise they are using the exact same number [of soldiers] they lost before November 26,” said Asratyan. “It is nothing but a failed disinformation effort by Azerbaijan.”

Two Nagorno-Karabakh Republic soldiers were killed on November 19 and 20 as a result of ceasefire violations by Azerbaijan. The Karabakh side responded with an attack tha killed one soldier and wounded seven.

Meanwhile on Tuesday, a regular OSCE monitoring was held at the Ijevan-Ghazakh part of the border with Azerbaijan, near the village of Kayan.

From the Armenian side the monitoring was conducted by the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Andrzej Kasprzyk, Coordinator of the OSCE Office Imre Palatinus (Hungary) and Field Assistants of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Christo Christov (Bulgaria) and Marius Puodziunas (Lithuania).

During the monitoring the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs crossed the Armenian-Azeri border on foot.

The monitoring was preceded by a briefing at the Governor’s Office of Tavush marz.

People in Aristech still have to deal with the same criminal Azerbaijan which did throw 500 ‎kilo bombs on residential buildings in Stepanaker in 90´s!‎

Unfortunately, there are a lot of racist politicians in Baku including Azerbaijani president ‎himself, who are in the opinion, it would be worth even to sacrifice the life of more then 500 ‎‎000 (and even more) Azerbaijani , if they in Baku at the end of the new aggression would ‎get Arstakh back. Therefore Arstakh needs powerful army and weapon to make Azerbaijani ‎politicians understandable that in case of new Azerbaijani aggression against ‎Arstakh/Karabakh Baku wouldn’t look much better than “Agdam” is today!‎

Azerbaijan has put itself in a hopeless and dangerous situation.‎ Hawk Azerbaijani authorities are trying by every mean to demonstrate , that they are even ready committee ‎suicide as a state in order to put pressure on Armenia, Karabakh and to blackmail international ‎community!‎

‎ Azerbaijani officials should be made clear if Azerbaijan make attempts to cause a threat to ‎the existence of Karabakh Republic, in such case Azerbaijan Republic will be set in fire from ‎north to south faster as officials in Baku could imagine!‎

Azerbaidjian knows that if they attack Armenia or Artzack, that Russia will help Armenia and Artzack, gain a corridor linking Russia with Armenia. In that case, the Armenians would also have control of a portion of the pipeline. With that comes the possibility of shutting off the flow, or receiving transfer fees. A totally new perspective then. So let them try.
