ANKARA (ANA/Reuters/BBC)–Greek Foreign Minister George Papandreou on Thursday discussed the course of Greek-Turkish relations–the Cyprus issue and other major international affairs with his Turkish counterpart Yasar Yakis. ENCINO–Organized by the Anahid chapter of the Armenian Relief Society (ARS) to benefit the Javakhk Fund–a fundraising dinner took place at the Ferrahian School’s Dikranian Hall on January. More than one hundred ARS members and supporters in attended.

YEREVAN (Yerkir/Armenpress)–Boosting economic cooperation between the capital cities of Russia and Armenia was high on the agenda during a meeting on January 31 between Armenian president Kocharian and visiting Moscow mayor Yuri Luzhkov.

SOPHIA (Yerkir)–Twenty four year-old Gadar Khachikian was elected to the Bulgarian Parliament by a Sofia constituency–becoming the youngest member of the Parliament.
Sofia born Khachikian is a graduate of the Sofia State University Law Department–and received additional training in Germany and the US. Before being elected to the parliament–he was a secretary of the parliament.
