(OSCE/RFE)–The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) on Wednesday expressed "deep concern" over police violence against opposition supporters protesting the results of Azerbaijan’s parliamentary elections earlier this month.
Through a statement–the head of the OSCE office in Baku–Maurizio Pavesi said that the police violence "started without any warning" and could not be justified.

YEREVAN (YERKIR)–Armenia’s ruling coalition–comprised of the Republican Party of Armenia–the Orinats Yerkir Party–and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation–issued a statement November 29 about Sunday’s constitutional referendum.

YEREVAN (RFE/RL)–The Central Election Commission (CEC) on Wednesday said that opposition deman’s to invalidate the official results of Armenia’s constitutional referendum are unlawful.
A group of about 20 opposition parties gave the CEC until Friday to scrap the allegedly fraudulent vote or face more street protests in Yerevan.

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–Council of Europe observers to Armenia’s November 27 Constitutional Referendum said in a statement on Tuesday they "regret" that additional international observers were not present–and pointed to the parliamentary opposition’s pull-out from electoral commissions as hampering the transparency of the referendum.

BAKU (Combined Sources)–The US has condemned the use of force to disperse crowds in Azerbaijan’s capital Baku on Saturday who were protesting about recent parliamentary elections.

Dr. Norair-Melkon Eblighatian–former Armenia representative in the Lebanese parliament–died on Saturday–November 26–in Lebanon. Eblighatian served the Armenian community for more than six decades in various leadership positions.

YEREVAN–Nearly 120,000 tree seedlings for reforestation were purchased this Fall by Armenia Tree Project (ATP) from backyard nurseries owned by residents of the rural villages of Aghavnavank–Dzoravank–and Aygut.
