Boston University will host an international conference and a student workshop on the Armenian Diaspora during the weekend of February 12. The three-day event is organized by the Charles K. and Elisabeth M. Kenosian Chair in Modern Armenian History and Literature, Boston University.

I hope that the primary overriding lesson we learn from the election of Scott Brown as the replacement senator from Massachusetts is that the electorate may finally have wised up and decided that, like an uncut melon, an elected official in a new office is an unknown quantity. He looks and acts clean cut, honest and sincere but so does every candidate for office, from class president, sophomore year in high school to country President, USA.

The show is finally over! The international community is no longer buying the endless Turkish excuses for refusing to ratify the Protocols. Armenian officials, who naively believed that Turkey would open its border and establish diplomatic relations with Armenia, are beginning to question the Turks’ sincerity and contemplating the possibility of the Protocols’ collapse.

“Dear Professor Zinn.” That’s how all of my emails to him began. Sometimes, I would be more “casual” and address him only as “Professor.” I could never muster up the courage to call him by his first name – I never found it appropriate. I simply had too much respect for him, and always felt compelled to include some sort of “title.” “Professor” was the one I settled on.
