Obama’s $40 Million Request In Aid To Armenia Again Breaks Parity

As the Congress continues deliberations over appropriations for the remaining months of Fiscal Year 2011, President Barack Obama today announced his proposed Fiscal Year 2012 budget numbers, which included a call for $40 million in aid to Armenia and a pro-Baku tilt in U.S. military aid to Armenia and Azerbaijan, reported the Armenian National Committee of America.

Congress Agrees On $41 Million For Armenia, $8 Million For Karabakh, Military Parity

The U.S. House and Senate Wednesday agreed upon a far-reaching Fiscal Year 2010 (FY10) spending measure that includes a $41 economic aid package for Armenia, $8 million for “programs and activities” in Nagorno Karabagh, and parity in Foreign Military Financing for Armenia and Azerbaijan, reported the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA).

Armenian Government Approves 2010 Budget

The Armenian government approved on Thursday the final version of next year’s budget and is set to submit it to parliament for consideration and approval, Finance Minister Tigran Davtian told reporters.
