Little Big Things

As I watched the ANCA Endowment Fund telethon each announcement of a large donation further instilled a sense of strength in me. With each major donation came the realization that our beloved organization will be taking yet another step towards the achievement of our goals. Yet the announcement that spoke to my heart and earned my absolute respect was that made by the AYF Orange County and Crescenta Valley chapters. It reminded me of the story in the Bible of the old lady and her offering of two coins.

Guevrekians Establish $100,000 Endowment Fund for Armenian Relief Society

On the eve of the Armenian Relief Society’s centennial, Mr. and Mrs. Jacky and Seta Guevrekian of Egypt established an endowment fund of $100,000 to be part of the ARS Endowment Funds. The annual proceeds of this fund will be used by the ARS, Inc. Central Executive Board to pursue the implementation of its humanitarian projects in Armenia.

Grassroots Fundraising: One Cup of Coffee at A Time

Hrag Satjian spent his Memorial Day weekend with members of his AYF chapter, selling Armenian coffee to raise money for the ANCA Endowment Fund. The one-day effort raised nearly a thousand dollars for the telethon and is a testament to the power and potential of grassroots activism.

Robert Shamlian Memorialized At Ararat Home
