PASADENA—The independent Pasadena Armenian Genocide Memorial Committee  announced the selection of distinguished CPA firm Sadd-Velazquez-Higashi-Shammaa (SVHS) as the organization’s non-profit CPA and financial advisor.

Based in Glendale, SVHS is a long-time accounting and financial advisory firm to many high-profile businesses and non-profit organizations throughout Southern California. Sadd-Velazquez has been repeatedly relied upon by many Glendale- and Pasadena-based government entities, civic organizations, and charitable foundations and the PAGMC enthusiastically places its trust and confidence with the firm.

David George Gevorkyan, the Chief Financial Officer of the PAGMC, comments by saying that “the selection was not only based on their high level of expertise as a firm, but also for their strong emphasis on integrity and prudence. Local organizations take their roles in our communities seriously, and thus have long attested to the merit of the firm.” The PAGMC met with John L. Sadd, the founder and managing partner of SVHS, and was impressed with the firm’s rich history, strong character, and substantiated credentials, and collectively express their strong gratitude and enthusiasm. John L. Sadd stated that “We are proud to be associated with the PAGMC. Recognizing and standing against ‘man’s inhumane acts against mankind’ is an essential step for our society, or any society, to live and work together in harmony.”

John L. Sadd and the SVHS Firm have served as President, Chairman, or Treasurer for organizations and local government committees such as Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) committees, Glendale School District’s Bond Advisory Committees, the Community Foundation of the Verdugos, the Parks & Open Spaces Foundation, the St. Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral, the Glendale Education Foundation, the Latino Advisory Board of Junior Achievement, and the Kiwanis.
