LITTLE ARMENIA—The Armenian Youth Federation Day Camp is currently taking place at Rose & Alex Pilibos Armenian School in Little Armenia, Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The program offers a social and instructive day camp for children between the ages of 5 to 12.
“Today, our unique program includes physical, cultural and educational activities that promote healthy development and strengthen a sense of identity within our youth,” said Houri Badalian, member of the organizing committee. “With the support of our community, we have been able to focus our resources on a quality program for our deserving youth.”
The program has been sponsored by Anoush Catering, Kavar Catering, Karoun Dairies, Mr. & Mrs. Gaidzag & Dzovig Zeitlian and Minas Daldalian.
The children love coming to AYF Day Camp and spending the day playing sports, games, arts and crafts, singing, cooking, dancing and learning new interesting things about their Armenian heritage. “Steal the Bacon is my new favorite game at day camp,” says 5 year old Edgar Norenchyan. While 5 year old Nicole Hatzagortzyan says “I love playing with the beads and strings to make bracelets.”
