FRESNO—The Charlie Keyan Armenian Community School is pleased to acknowledge the generous gift of $300,000 to the school’s building fund on behalf of the Armena, Marguerite and Grace Kazarian Family Foundation, in memory of their mother, Agavni Kazarian. With this gift the school is now one step closer to achieving its long-term goal of permanent classrooms for the students, along with a modern administrative building and hall.
The CKACS has been enjoying a spate of positive news recently, most notably with the School’s full accreditation, as certified by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Along with full accreditation, the school has become more financially stable thanks to rising enrollment and the generosity of its patrons. The CKACS is looking to a more robust future, preparing the youth of the Central Valley for their future with comprehensive educational and after-school programs, all the while instilling a strong faith and an understanding of Armenian culture.
The Kazarian family has been, for years, strong supporters of the school, and their continued interest and participation is very much appreciated.
Charlie Keyan has given quality education to central California students for over 30 years. They were one of the first schools in the area to have interactive boards and many of the ex students (Alumni) have moved on to very good careers in law, writing and other great businesses.
Thank you to the Kazarian Family for this nice donation, forever in our minds and hearts Agavni will be remembered for this beautiful gesture for the children. Investing in our youth is one of the most important things we can do as a community.
