HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—A very special event dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centennial, “Our Lands, Our Lands,” spearheaded by Hollywood ANC and organized by Ararat Foundation will take place on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 7 p.m., at St. Garabed Armenian Apostolic Church – Karapetian Hall at 1614 N. Alexandria Avenue in Hollywood, California. The event is sponsored by United Armenian Council for the Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide-Los Angeles.
Mardig Madenjian, the Author of “Our Lands, Our Lands” will present his book while documentary film makers Bared Maronian and Kay Mouradian will be showing parts of their documentary films “Women of 1915″ and ” My Mother’s Voice.”
Nune Avetisyan will be mistress of ceremony and well known singers Salpi Mailyan and Marian Pachanian will perform at the event. Salpy Kerkonian will also perform on flute.
The participating organizations in this event are St. John Armenian Apostolic Church, St. Garabed Armenian Apostolic Church, Hollywood ANC, Garegin Nejdeh Committee, TCA Arshag Dickranian Armenian School, Rose and Alex Pilibos Armenian School, AYF Hollywood Chapter, ARS Mayr Chapter Hollywood, “Raffi” Romanian-Armenian Cultural Association of Los Angeles.
