ANKARA–Turkey will send troops to Armenia in compliance with the Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE) Treaty, the Turkish military said Friday.
In a statement posted on its official website, the Turkish General Staff said that the Turkish Armed Forces’ inspection team would be sent to Armenia for a three day visit.
“As part of the Conventional Armed Forces in Europe Treaty, the CFE inspection will be held in Armenia under the guidance of Turkey between October 11 and 14, 2015. A guest inspector from Slovakia will also attend the course of Turkey’s inspection,” the statement said.
The statement also added that the Turkish team would return to Turkey on October 14 after carrying out the inspection.
Turkey’s border with Armenia remains closed since 1994 when the Ankara administration reacted to what they claim is Yerevan’s and Armenians’ “occupation” of Nagorno-Karabakh.
WHAT…… THAT’S ALL I HAVE TO SAY!!!!!!!!!!!
If Turkish troops enter Armenia, CFE or whatever, should not they all be shot on sight? What does anyone suppose would happen to Armenian troops if they were, say, to inspect the Israeli-built high tech drone factory in Azerbaijan?
Why are we letting our enemy inspect our military? Why not some other member of the CFE do the inspection?
is this a 2 way street or one way
if it is not a 2 way ,then why
absolutely not acceptable
no way .
inspection for what?
