YEREVAN (Mediamax)— Officials in Yerevan have strongly condemned Azerbaijan’s unprecedented escalation of the situation on the contact line with Artsakh.

Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian has stressed that in this situation, it becomes imperative to take definite steps to mitigate the tension. These steps include the establishment of the mechanism for investigating incidents that was proposed by the Co-Chairs, along with the strengthening of the observer mission of the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and the increase in the number of his field assistants.

Nalbandian commented on Azerbaijan’s attacks by stating that:

“We strongly condemn Baku’s unprecedented escalation of situation on the contact line with Artsakh which entailed casualties ahead of Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents’ December 19 meeting initiated by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs. Before each high-level meeting, escalation of tension in the conflicting zone as a result of Azerbaijan’s provocations has already become regular.”

According Nalbandian, Baku has the illusion that it can negotiate through arms.

“Despite the Co-Chairs’ numerous calls for ruling out use of force, Azerbaijan again plunges into adventure. With such steps, Baku tries to digress the negotiations process from the goal – settlement of the issue and ensuring of peace”, said Nalbandian.

Broken record. Enough of condemning. We all know we can not militarily win this, therefore, we must work triple time in cultivating and cutting deals with powerful nations who will advocate our past, present, and future national interests. There is no way in hell we can survive surrounded by a sea of Muslim Turkic nations. We must enlist the help both regional and international superpowers. Russia is not enough, they are but a regional power with conflicting interests. Other more economically powerful friends are required to further our agenda. The only reason Israel is able to exist in a sea of Muslim Arab nations is because they have assembled together the most powerful nations from every corner of the globe. Whether by infiltrating or by bribing, they do what they need to do to survive and prosper against all odds.
